walmart has small solar pannels that might be good for a cell phone or notebook.

Yeah it is, I helped my son with a project for the science fair and found a good guide that provided some good detailed instructions. I think it was on one of the sites in the resource area.. It was easy too! I am planning now to build a larger scale solar panel for my home.
