How much is the integrity of a concrete tile roof compromised with installing solar panels? I understand they must be anchored, with some difficulty, to the roof frame below the tiles.
Even tile roofs typically have vents, like for drains, or your stove hood.
For solar panels, you’re right, some tiles are removed, and the standoffs are attached directly to the underlying rafters. The standoffs are then flashed just like any other vent, to be waterproofed.
